Try out Scuba Diving in a Southside Kauai Pool
First-time (non-certified) divers will experience the PADI Discover Scuba Diving program which covers the fundamental rules and guidelines of safe scuba diving.
Once you meet your instructor, you will complete a required questionnaire and learning packet followed by an in-depth briefing that outlines this information in more detail. Then we’ll show the gear, how to use it properly, how to put it on, and how it works. We’ll enter the pool and practice three basic scuba-related skills. These skills are designed to build confidence and to show you just how easy scuba diving really is.
After satisfactorily completing the skills portion of your lesson, your instructor will lead you on a swim around the pool to build up your confidence navigating the water as a first-time scuba diver. For those that are comfortable with the pool experience and want to take it further, we encourage you to consider upgrading to one of our Ocean Discovery Dives, where you’ll be face-to-face with marine life of all shapes, sizes and colors.
**IMPORTANT INFORMATION**
Scuba diving requires a minimum level of health and fitness. Chronic health conditions, certain medications, and/or recent surgery may require you to obtain written approval from a physician before diving. Avoid disappointment – download and review the PADI Medical Questionnaire found HERE to ensure you won’t need a physician’s approval to dive BEFORE making a reservation! Instructors, divemasters, and dive shop staff are NOT physicians and should not be asked for medical advice. Only medical professionals can provide medical clearance to dive.
**HELPFUL HINTS**
* You’ll be with a PADI Professional the entire time of the course and in the ocean.
* We provide all of the gear at NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE, you’ll just wear your swimsuit.
* Approximate duration is 45-60 min. Depending on the class, it can be shorter or longer.
If you know you’ll want to join us in the ocean right away, make sure to UPGRADE to the Ocean Experience while you make your reservation. You may also decide after your pool experience. Feel free to discuss with your instructor about what options may be available.!
