Discover Scuba Diving – Pool Experience

Get Your Intro to Scuba Diving in Kauai

First-time (non-certified) divers will experience the PADI Discover Scuba Diving program which covers the fundamental rules and guidelines of safe scuba diving.

Pre-registered guests will complete a brief 20 min online registration and orientation.  This orientation will provide very helpful information PRIOR to arriving tot he pool for the lesson.  Once you meet your instructor for the day, you’ll have a detailed briefing that will outline the necessary information again.  Then we’ll show the gear.  How to use it properly, how to put it on and how it works.  We’ll enter the pool and practice three basic scuba-related skills.  These skills are designed to build confidence and to show you just how easy scuba diving really is.  Our ultimate goal is to have you join our instructors in the ocean to be face to face with the famous Hawaiian Green Sea Turtle, tropical fish and more!

After satisfactorily completing the skills portion of your lesson, you’ll now have the confidence to swim a lap around the pool before being invited to join your instructor THE SAME DAY in the ocean! We build on your confidence and allow you the option to go straight to the ocean to participate in the OCEAN Dive where, again, you’ll be face to face with marine life of all shapes, sizes and colors.

**IMPORTANT INFORMATION**

Scuba diving requires a minimum level of health and fitness.  Chronic health conditions, certain medications and/or recent surgery may require you to obtain written approval from a physician before diving.  Avoid disappointment, download and review the PADI Medical Questionnaire found HERE to ensure you won’t need a physician’s approval to dive BEFORE making a reservation! Instructors, divemasters and dive shop staff are NOT physicians and should not be asked for medical advice; only medical professionals can give medical clearance to dive.

**HELPFUL HINTS** 

* You’ll be with a PADI Professional the entire time of the course and in the ocean.
* We provide all of the gear at NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE, you’ll just wear your swimsuit.
* Approximate duration is 45-60 min.  Depending on the class it can be shorter or longer.

If you know you’ll want to join us in the ocean right away, make sure to UPGRADE to the Ocean Experience while you make your reservation.  You may also decide after your pool experience.

**If you do join us for the ocean, it will be the SAME DAY as your pool experience.  Please keep your afternoon open until after 5pm so we have time to schedule you to be face to face with the ocean marine life!**
